MERECO TECHNOLOGIES PASSES ISO 9001 SEMI-ANNUAL SURVEILLANCE AUDIT

Mereco Technologies Group Companies, and its operating units Metachem Resins Corporation (MERECO) and DMS, has once again successfully passed the semiannual ISO 9001 periodic surveillance audit conducted by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) on December 17-18, 2001. In November 2000, the company was recertified to the ISO 9001 standard for three years ending November 2003.

During the most recent audit, Mereco received only one (1) minor NCN, which was related to the introduction of a new inventory management system.

Mereco is actively pursuing certification to the new ISO 2000 Standard and is working towards certification to the ISO 14000 Environmental Standard. Mereco management assumes certification to the new 2000 Standard will occur in December 2002, and that ISO 14000 certification will occur in 2003.
